To Become a Student Member
Students who are currently enrolled in the Master Gardener Training Program and recent Graduates are able to join as a Student Member and will have one year to become a certified Master Gardener by participating in community volunteer activities. You can complete our Student Application, which you will find in the forms inventory below.
If you are completing your program and wish to be Certified right away, complete the "volunteer service form", which can also be found in our forms inventory below. Simply submit your application with your membership dues. To retain your membership, you must report your volunteer activity each year.
Student members must be actively and currently enrolled in the Program or be a graduate of less than one year. Students and new Graduates are able to join our association without being Certified and will have one year to be Certified. You can complete our Student Application which you will find in the forms inventory below. If you wish to be Certified right away, complete the "volunteer service form", which can also be found in our forms inventory below. To retain your membership, you must re-certify each year. Submit your application with your membership dues.

To become a Member
To become a regular member of our Association, you need to complete the education program and participate as a horticulture volunteer in the community. Simply complete our New Member application and complete the "volunteer service" form, both in our forms inventory below. Submit both with your membership dues.
To become Certified
Student members and new members who are ready to be Certified need to apply to become Certified, and include this application along with your "hours" form. Renewing members who are already Certified Master Gardeners do not need to complete the Application to become Certified each year. Your renewal membership application along with your volunteer hours form are all thatís required.
To Renew your membership
Membership renewal is due June 1 of each year. Please complete our Renewal Application and submit this with your volunteer service form and your renewal dues.
Continuing Education Credits
Certified Master Gardeners must complete a minimum of 8 continuing Education learning hours every two years. Our Annual Conference is a great way to learn as well as connect. Your Volunteer Hours
You must perform 25 hours of Volunteer Service each year. This can be in many forms, from writing articles, helping with Community Gardens, teaching, offering your services to a public garden, speaking at a local Garden club. From time to time, Our Volunteer Co-ordinator may set a pre-set number of hours for certain activities; and for the education component of our Annual Conference. Once hours have been pre-set, they will be listed here.

Do you need help with a project? or have help to give? Other Master Gardeners are standing by and willing to get involved. Our Volunteer Co-ordinator is always on standby to match need with willing hands. Let us know if you have a set of willing hands; or if you need help with a project.
If you have pictures of Atlantic Master Gardeners at work, your fellow members would enjoy seeing and reading about what you're doing. Write an article, or just submit the photos with captions. You can find the email address of our Newsletter editor in the "contact us" section.
We need district reporters! We want to let people know what is happening in your area as far as horticulture related news is concerned. Our Newsletter editor is always looking for news from our entire region. And don't forget Facebook either.......we are all interested in what's going on in your neck of the woods.
